Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Keb Mo, George Jones all (Grammy) party together!
OK, for real, if you truly want to spot a celebrity in Nashville, I'm about to give you the slam-dunk secret.
Book a room at the
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel on West End Avenue, across from Vanderbilt University, and go to the lobby and hang out. You are BOUND to see SOMEONE famous.
And it you were hanging out in the lobby Tuesday night (Jan. 17), you saw a whole bunch of stars from a whole bunch of musical genres.
The Grammys folks held a pre-awards show bash their for Nashville nominees. And among the Nashville nominees who showed:
Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, George Jones, bluesman
Keb' Mo', Christian singer
Steven Curtis Chapman and bluegrass great
Del McCoury.
The stars even enjoyed seeing each other!
"What makes tonight special is I'm new in Nashville and this is an intimate crowd,"
Keb' Mo' told The Tennessean.
"There's a lot of people here who are important, and I love living in Nashville. I love the way I've been treated here."
And Steven Curtis Chapman gushed: "I met George Jones!"
"The first time I sang on the Grand Ole Opry, when I was 19 years old, I was working for Opryland singing in one of the shows and I walked out four times a day and sang 'He Stopped Loving Her Today.' I got to tell George that was my first time on the Opry. So, that's a pretty cool night," Steven said.
Indeed.
Might sound fishy, but country singers really do like sushi
No joke, and seeing is believing.
And Brad spies saw
Luke Bryan ("All My Friends Say") recently at a Music Row area place called
SushiYobi.
Oh, but that's not all. At the very same restaurant, former "American Idol" contestant and Southern boy
Taylor Hicks was spotted throwing down some raw fish.
